Henna Corners

Here is the step by step for the card I demo-ed on Create and Craft on Thursday, 18/8/22 at 3pm for the Pergamano show using the resized A5 square Henna Corners Groovi plates ...

Tina's Henna Corners 1 A5 Square Groovi Plate  GRO-FL-41870-03
Tina's Henna Corners 2 A5 Square Groovi Plate  GRO-FL-41871-03
Tina's 3D Flowers & Butterflies A4 Square Groovi Plate  GRO-FL-40553-15

NOTE:
All the embossing on this project is done on the back.
The colouring on this project is done on the back.
All the perforating and cutting on this project are done from the front.

Step 1: Die cut the 3rd largest picot square on clear parchment paper using the Nested Squares Picot dies. Emboss the double square outlines from the corresponding Nested Picot Squares Groovi plate using the Groovi No.1 tool (or Pergamano 1mm embossing ball tool).

Step 2: In the corners, emboss the design from the Henna Corners 2 Groovi plate - the circles using the Groovi No.2 tool (or Pergamano 1.5mm embossing ball tool) and the rest of the line art using the  Groovi No.1 tool (or Pergamano 1mm embossing ball tool).

Step 3: From the Henna Corners 1 Groovi plate, emboss outermost mandala design using the Groovi No.1 tool (or Pergamano 1mm embossing ball tool).

Step 4: Below the mandala, emboss the border from the Henna Corners 2 Groovi plate - the circles using the Groovi No.2 tool (or Pergamano 1.5mm embossing ball tool) and the rest of the line art using the  Groovi No.1 tool (or Pergamano 1mm embossing ball tool).

Step 5: Repeat above the mandala.

Step 6: On rainbow parchment (I have used Paradise Island), emboss the mandala from the Henna Corners 2 Groovi plate - the circles using the Groovi No.2 tool (or Pergamano 1.5mm embossing ball tool) and the rest of the line art using the  Groovi No.1 tool (or Pergamano 1mm embossing ball tool).

Step 7: Using the Groovi No.3 and No.4 tools (or Pergamano 1.5mm and 3mm embossing ball tools) gently emboss inside all the circles starting with the largest ball tool and remembering to let the parchment rest between layers. I have embossed 4 layers on these circles.

Step 8: Still working on the back, colour using Perga Colours Exclusive pens.

Step 9:  From the front, over the super foam, using Pergamano bold 2-needle perforating tool, perforate inside the larger mandala petals on the clear parchment and outside the smaller mandala on the rainbow parchment piece.

Step 10: Picot cut between all the perforations making sure the scissors are over the waste when you cut.

Step 11: On separate pieces of clear parchment emboss the butterflies from the 3D Flowers & Butterflies - 1 large and 2 small ones. Emboss, colour, perforate and picot cut them.

To Finish: Add as much or as little (or none) Perga glitter as you wish.
Using the Nested Squares Picot Diescut the 2nd largest picot square from corresponding Rainbow Paper.
Mount the parchment piece and 3D henna mandala on the rainbow paper using brads.
Stick this on folded white card and stick the 3D butterflies on the card using a teeny tiny amount of Perga Glue on the back of the butterfly bodies.

The original Henna Corners Groovi plates were larger A4 square plates. Here is a comparison of the same card design using the 2 different size plates. The smaller card has been made using the smaller A5 square plates on the clear parchment as per the step by steps above. The larger card has been made using the larger A4 square plates on the rainbow parchment.

The next couple of photos are the 2 sides of a hanging ornament for my Christmas tree. It has been made using both the large and the small Henna Corners 1 Groovi plates.

Sending everyone STAY SAFE WISHES sprinkled with PERGA GLITTER. Take care.

Lots of Love, Hugs and Laughter
