Flowerette Parchlet Magic

Good Morning/afternoon/evening. How is everyone?

I'm hoping in the next couple of days a lot of you will start receiving your Flowerette Parchlet Groovi plates (if you have not already done so) which were showcased on Create and Craft and Craft Extra a few days ago. Thank you so much for liking them enough to purchase them. I had fun drawing these as I do like flowers and I like little designs. I hope when you get them, you will have as much fun playing with them as I did when I was creating a few samples for the show.

Today I will show you the step by steps to the card that I demonstrated during the 2pm show. To be honest, the first one after 2yrs was nerve wrecking and I didn't even get through half of what I wanted to demonstrate. But I learnt from it and tried to do better for the 5pm show which I will do the step outs for tomorrow. This is so that I can get you started on a couple of projects if you need a little inspiration.

Okay, so let's start with this one ...

Groovi Plates:
Deluxe Groovi Plate Starter Kit + Butterfly Wreath A5 Square Plate  GRO-SK-40709-XX
Nested Squares Picot Cut Die Set & Groovi Plate  ACC-DI-30698-66
Tina's Flowerette Parchlet Quartet A6 Square Groovi Plate Set  GRO-FL-41823-01
Mini Straight & Diagonal Basic Bold A6 Square Groovi Piercing Grids  GRO-GG-41099-23

NOTE:
All the embossing on this project is done on the back.
The colouring on this project is done on the back.

Step 1: Die cut the 4th largest nested picot square on rainbow parchment paper (I've used Lavender Fields) using the Nested Squares Picot dies. Before cutting, make sure you have placed the die with the cutting side down on the softer matt side facing up of the rainbow parchment.
Emboss the double outline from the matching Nested Picot Squares Groovi plate using the Groovi No.1 tool (or Pergamano 1mm embossing ball tool). Also emboss a panel as seen in the photo below.

Step 2: I created a longer strip of the scallops border on a spare piece of regular parchment as a template from the Flowerette Scallop Parchlet plate in the Tina's Flowerette Parchlet Quartet set. This is so I can place the template on the main design to help me decide where I want to start and end the border along the panel.
On the rainbow parchment, with the glossy brighter side facing up (this is the back of the work), emboss the scallops using the Groovi No.1 tool (or Pergamano 1mm embossing ball tool) and the circles and ovals with the Groovi No.2 tool (or Pergamano 1.5mm embossing ball tool).

Step3: Remove the parchment slide it up, realign with a couple of scallops and complete embossing the border along the panel. Repeat on the other side of the panel.

Step 4: From the Flowerette Heart Parchlet plate in the Tina's Flowerette Parchlet Quartet set, at the top of the panel, emboss the flowers using the Groovi No.1 tool (or Pergamano 1mm embossing ball tool) and the circles and leaves with the Groovi No.2 tool (or Pergamano 1.5mm embossing ball tool).

Step 5: Repeat the same design on the bottom of the panel and then in the middle.

Step 6: From the Flowerette Butterfly Parchlet plate in the Tina's Flowerette Parchlet Quartet set, from the centre design, emboss the flower and leaf using the Groovi No.1 tool (or Pergamano 1mm embossing ball tool). If you have too much space, emboss another couple of leaves along the stem.

This is what the panel looks like with all the line art embossed.

Step 7: Using the Groovi No.3 tool and Groovi No.2 tool (or Pergamano 3mm and 1.5mm embossing ball tool) freehand emboss inside the circles, ovals and leaves for the whitework.

Step 8: Still working on the back, colour using Perga Colours Exclusive pens.

Step 9: Over the basic straight grid from the Mini Straight & Diagonal Basic Bold Piercing Grid set, emboss dots around the scallops border. To do this, using the Groovi No.2 tool (or Pergamano 1.5mm embossing ball tool), emboss a dot. Keep the ball tool on the dot and swivel the parchment slightly so the next hole on the grid is close to the embossed line and emboss a dot over that hole. Repeat all the way along and on the other side of the border.

Step 10: On regular parchment, die cut the 3rd smallest nested picot square on rainbow parchment paper using the Nested Squares Picot diesEmboss the double outline from the matching Nested Picot Squares Groovi plate using the Groovi No.1 tool (or Pergamano 1mm embossing ball tool).

Step 11: Emboss the corner design from
the Flowerette Petal Parchlet plate in the Tina's Flowerette Parchlet Quartet set using the Groovi No.1 tool (or Pergamano 1mm embossing ball tool) for the elements you want to just colour instead of emboss for whitework. For elements you want to do whitework on, use the Groovi No.2 tool (or Pergamano 1.5mm embossing ball tool) to emboss the line art.

Step 12: On the opposite corner of the square emboss the design from the
Flowerette Butterfly Parchlet plate in the Tina's Flowerette Parchlet Quartet set

Step 13: Between the 2 four petal flowers, I added extra an extra flower in this corner.

Step 14: Using the Groovi No.3 tool and Groovi No.2 tool (or Pergamano 3mm and 1.5mm embossing ball tool) freehand emboss inside the circles and leaves for the whitework.

Step 15: Still working on the back, colour using Perga Colours Exclusive pens.

This is what the square looks like on the front ...

Step 16: Because I love glitter, I added Perga glitter on all my embossed whitework, scallops and parts of flower petals on the little square piece.

Step 17: I choose the word 'Magic' from Clarity Christmas & Celebrations Words Sticker Collection and stuck it on a scrap piece of card using Perga glue and let it dry completely.

Step 18: Scribble a couple of the colours you used for your colouring on a piece of packaging.

Step 19: Spritz with water.

Step 20: Turn it over and 'squidge' on the word.

Step 21: Allow this to dry completely before trimming it to size

To Finish: Mount the parchment pieces on the corresponding Rainbow paper using brads. Stick this on folded white card. Stick the word on the card using foam pads.

I enjoyed this design so much that I did another couple using the same basic design idea.

This one is done on regular parchment and the small square piece on what was left from the rainbow parchment ...

And this one is the same as the step by step, except I did some perforating and picot cutting in some of the spaces instead of just colouring...

I look forward to seeing what you create with Flowerette Parchlets. Once again, thank you so much everyone.

Groovi plates and ingredients are available on  http://www.claritystamp.com.

Sending everyone STAY SAFE WISHES sprinkled with PERGA GLITTER. Take care.

Lots of Love, Hugs and Laughter
