Art Nouveau Floral - Inspiration 1

Here is the step by steps for the card I demo-ed on Create and Craft on Saturday, 22/4/23, at 1pm using the Art Nouveau Floral A6 Groovi Plates …

Groovi Plates
Groovi Deluxe Starter Kit with A5sq Butterfly Wreath Groovi Plate (GRO-SK-41709-XX)
Framework Circles & Squares A4 Square Groovi Plate Duo (GRO-PA-42092-15)
Art Nouveau Floral A6 Groovi Plate & Spacer Collection (GRO-FL-40881-02)
Josie's Diagonal Embossed Patterns 2 A4 Square Groovi Plate (GRO-GG-41793-24)

All the embossing on this project is done on the back.
The colouring on this project is done on the back and front.

Step 1: On clear parchment, emboss the 3rd and 4th largest squares over the Framework Squares Groovi plate using the Groovi No.1 tool (or Pergamano 1mm embossing ball tool).

Step 2: Remove the parchment from the plate, align the squares (depending on how much space you want between your boxes) before embossing another same size square.

Step 3: Repeat for the 3rd square. For the 4th space, emboss the 3rd and 4th largest circles over the Framework Circles Groovi plate.

Step 4: Over the Nested Squares Groovi plate in the Deluxe Starter Kit, emboss the 3rd largest square around the squares and circle sections using the Groovi No.1 tool (or Pergamano 1mm embossing ball tool).

Step 5: In the left square (This will be on the right on the front), emboss part of the poppy design over the Poppy Fields Groovi plate using the Groovi No.1 tool (or Pergamano 1mm embossing ball tool).

Step 6: Repeat in the remaining sections using different art nouveau floral designs from the various plates.

Step 7: Emboss very lightly 3 2nd smallest circles (optional to colour dew drops) over the Framework Circles Groovi plate using the Groovi No.2 tool (or Pergamano 1.5mm embossing ball tool).

... so it looks like this on the front ...

Step 8: Still working on the back, colour using the Perga Liner B pencils.

Step 9: Blend the colours using a little Dorso oil and a blending nib. Use a different nib for each colour if possible.
(If you have too much oil on your nib, the colour will come off, so blot off the excess on a piece of kitchen towel. If you have too little oil, the blending will not be smooth, so touch just the very tip of the nib on the Dorso oil for the tiniest amount of oil)

Step 10: I normally do grid work before I colour but I felt the design needed something else so I embossed a grid pattern in the suns over the Diagonal Embossed Patterns 2 Groovi plate using the Groovi No.2 tool (or Pergamano 1.5mm embossing ball tool).

Step 11: The dew drops are mostly coloured on the front. Here is the step out on how I colour them. You can search on YouTube for different techniques if you like the look of them on your cards.

... And closer photos of the steps ...

To Finish: Add as much or as little (or none) Perga glitter as you wish.
Mount and layer the parchment piece on Companion paper (I've used Waimea Falls), white card and Designer paper (I've used Antarctica).
Attach all the layers using Pergamano brads.
Stick this on folded white card using Clarity Roll-a-Tape.

Groovi plates and ingredients are available on https://claritycrafts.com.

Sending everyone STAY SAFE WISHES sprinkled with PERGA GLITTER. Take care.

Lots of Love, Hugs and Laughter
